And it's about fifty times better than the version I did.

If I had known I wouldn't have bothered.

Look how elegant the sportowy @ sign is, and the sportowy circumflex and breve, and how they managed to get the inner stroke proportions correct as they had decent source material to work from...
Head -> Desk -> Head -> Desk -> Head -> Desk.
And overhead a rainbow appeared. In black and white.
Don't feel too bad . . . I salute your effort nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteNow, if there were to be a better version of Venus Bold Extended (a.k.a. the Southern Television font) than what myfonts.com has to offer . . .

. . . as you can see, some of the characters look nothing like Venus Bold Extended as it was long remembered.
If you were able to supply me with a good quality scan, I'd be delighted to make you a copy based on that.
